About Us
We are an evangelical church, planted in partnership with Aberdeen Christian Fellowship to build a worshipping community in our area and seeking to reach the people of Portlethen and the surrounding areas. We are part of the Baptist Union of Scotland and you can read our Statement of Faith here.
We want to be a community equipped to follow Jesus in our every-day life, wherever we are, whatever our stage or walk of life. Our vision is to see each person grow as disciples of Jesus and step more fully into who God has made them and called them to be.
We believe that we were created for community, and that growing as followers of Jesus is only possible when we do it with others. We live and move and go, together.
Our desire is to love and serve the people of Portlethen and coastal areas. Our prayer is that every person might come one step closer towards the discovering the life-changing news:
We are lovingly made by God. We were made with purpose.
We along with all of this created world, lost sight of that. We tried it our own way and lived as though we had all the answers. The Bible calls this sin. We live in a pretty messed up world because of it and it can feel hopeless.
We lost sight of who we are.
Jesus, the son of God, lived, walked among us and died to demonstrate just how much God loves us. In his death, he carried in Himself the burden and cost of living lives turned away from God and for ourselves.
Jesus has rescued us.
He rose again to make a way for us to have new life, new family and be in relationship with God, both now and into eternity.
He offers us hope both now and into eternity.
He lives and dwells with us through his Spirit to help us become who we were created to be and so equip us to join in His work here on earth.
He fills us with His Holy Spirit.
And He is returning to make all things new.
